The recent rebrand into Junction Fitness has brought a new aspect of fitness into our gym. X4 is a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program that revolves around four different training methods designed to work different areas of the body. The recent surge in popularity of HIIT and CrossFit has created a strong demand for the program. X4 and CrossFit work hand in hand to give you the best possible outcomes for your fitness goals and push your limits in mutually beneficial ways.
CrossFit has become quite the national phenomenon over the years through nationally televised events and an influx of new gyms devoted to the sport. CrossFit is the perfect place to mix HIIT with traditional Olympic-style lifting. It pushes stamina limits and has health benefits for people facing diabetes, obesity, and other health-related issues. Yet, the rise has been met with hesitation from people whose fitness journeys aren’t as demanding as CrossFit’s regiment. X4, on the other hand, welcomes people at every level of fitness. X4 can be used as a platform to propel into CrossFit or even serve as a primary training source. Each workout in X4 utilizes a four-workout rotation: Strength (which utilizes Torpedoes to mimic barbell movements in CrossFit), TRX (suspension training with straps), TrueForm (a state-of-the-art athlete-powered treadmill), and Capacity (Concept2 rower, SkiErg, and stationary Bike). X4 is great for rehabilitating specific injuries as it isn’t as strenuous on muscle groups and joints as CrossFit.
The list of benefits to both CrossFit and X4 is endless. Each workout created is designed to challenge you in a new way and bring an extra layer of fun and excitement to your training. The health benefits to each illustrate ways in which people seek physical activity in a world that is increasingly moving at a breakneck pace. The top benefit to both CrossFit and X4 is the impact on the individual. X4 has had a tremendous effect on those already training under the block format. Incredible stories of weight loss, overcoming injuries, and using both training styles to improve daily lives have ignited the fire for this new format of exercise and workout.
Junction seeks to give its members a place to feel welcome and experience firsthand the impact of a challenging workout. With the addition of X4 into our programming, we encourage all of our members to give this new challenge a try, and when you do, your first class is on us! We are proud to offer new dual and X4 membership packages, as well as the traditional CrossFit packages.
