What brought you to Temple and into Junction Fitness?
I was stationed here for the Army.
What is your favorite thing about Junction Fitness?
The coaches at Junction are by far my favorite thing. They are always looking for different ways to motivate everyone in the class. Also they are very attentive to the people that need help and they guide them through the process to get better.
What do you love about CrossFit?
I love that it can make anyone feel and be better than they were before they started.
Why is it important to be healthy?
I want to live longer. I don’t want my life to be held back by my physical capabilities, so I want to stay healthy and fit so that I can do all the things I want to do in life.
If you had a favorite workout, what would it be?
Murph. Being in the army we do lots of running and bodyweight movements so doing Murph is something that I am really good at.
How long have you been doing CrossFit? What humbles you the most about doing a CrossFit workout?
I’ve been doing crossfit for 4 years. The assault bike humbles me every time
What are some goals that you have achieved while being at Junction Fitness?
215lbs C&J PR
Who would you encourage to try Junction Fitness?
The guy that walks by the gym every day suitcase carrying a case of beer 😂 But seriously, I would encourage anyone who is looking to get healthy while having fun.
Why do you think it is important to share your story with others in the Junction
Fitness community?
It’s good for people to know that all walks of life can come to CrossFit no matter your age or experience and be able to work out. People always think that it is only for fit people and that’s not the truth. As long as you come in and work hard, anyone can do it.
You have lived in different places in the country. What is different about Junction Fitness than the other gyms you have been a part of?
Well, it’s very similar to my old gyms in the way that it feels like a family. I’ve been very lucky. A lot of times it is hard to find gyms that have a similar vibe but I have and I glad I did.
What are your goals for 2022?
400lbs deadlift. This has been a longtime goal of mine!
