Our Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors embody what makes this place special. They welcome newcomers, push alongside regulars, and make sure no one ever feels like they’re working alone.

From the first warm-up to the last high-five, they help carry forward what Junction stands for: community, commitment, and the belief that fitness is better when we do it together.

My favorite thing about Junction is how genuine the community is in wanting you there.

My goal is to complete a full warmup…and a full unassisted pull-up.

● What is your favorite thing to do in Temple?
Biking downtown to grab a burger and a beer at Bird Creek!
● What is your favorite thing about Junction Fitness?
JF is a diverse crew. I love meeting and interacting with people from different walks of life.
● What is one fitness goal you have in the coming year?
I'd like to get my double unders back after a nagging achilles injury, I think that is coming soon though. For lifting, I'd like to see my backsquat PR's go up. For gymnastics, I'd love to be able to handstand walk with consistency!
● If a workout was named after you, it would definitely have what movement? Why?
Tough one. Pull ups and Turkish Get ups. Pull ups because I used to rock climb and so not only am I decent at them, they are a lot of fun. I also think Turkish Get ups are super good for you - great exercise combining, strength, flexibility, balance, and mental focus.
● What’s one thing you’ve achieved since becoming a member?
Another tough one. JF is the first CrossFit gym I've been a part of. Before this, I knew limited gymnastics, had never really spent much time upside down, and had barely touched a barbell. Since learning all of those things I've just achieved better fitness. I turn 38 in a few days and I have better strength, mobility, endurance, and energy than I did a decade ago!

● What is your favorite thing to do in Temple?
I would say anything to do with my husband or family is my favorite. Whether it’s trying out a new restaurant or barbecuing and cheering for The Cowboys on Sunday, it’s always a good time! We like to travel outside of the area more too and try new things.
● What is your favorite thing about Junction Fitness?
The community. I have been to a regular gym a couple of times and it does not compare to the energy you feel when you step into JF. To someone getting their first muscle up, or even getting their first push up, everyone is always cheering you on and encouraging each other! It’s truly the best feeling.
● What is one fitness goal you have in the coming year?
I’m competing in my first Hyrox race in a couple of months, and I want to try to sign up for more running events. I’m more of a sprinter, so getting out of my comfort zone and doing more long distance and getting better at it is the goal. Maybe even get my L1 for CrossFit.
● If a workout was named after you, it would definitely have what movement? Why?
Definitely HSPUs, Bar Muscle Ups, Heavy PCs, and maybe even some Pistol squats or burpees. (Weird I know) I love me a heavy barbell with some gymnastics! It’s my favorite combo.
● What’s one thing you’ve achieved since becoming a member?
I have learned to not be afraid of a heavy barbell! I was always scared of getting injured or being embarrassed of not hitting a lift. Now with the right coaches and community around me, I have learned technique and understanding of fundamentals is everything to achieve a lift. The failure is just a way to keep learning and to have that determination to hit it next time!

● What is your favorite thing to do in Temple?
Hosting family meals on the patio when all the kids come to visit. There’s nothing like firing up the grill, setting out a big spread, and laughing together as the kids share their stories. It’s a simple tradition that fills the house with love and makes every moment with them feel special.
● What is your favorite thing about Junction Fitness?
The community vibe hands down. It’s not just about the weights; it’s the high-fives, shared playlists during classes, and that “we’re in this together” energy that makes every session feel motivating.
● What is one fitness goal you have in the coming year?
Nailing a bar muscle-up on the pull-up bar. I’ve been building the strength, and by next summer, I want to ring that bell.
● If a workout was named after you, it would definitely have what movement? Why?
While it’s my least favorite movement, the Turkish Get-Up, for sure. It’s all about control, balance, and rising stronger from the ground up, just like how I approach challenges: deliberate, full-body commitment with a touch of flair.
● What’s one thing you’ve achieved since becoming a member?
Dropping body fat while gaining noticeable muscle definition in my shoulders and legs. It’s transformed how I carry myself, both in the gym and out in daily life.
